I Thought it rather bizarre that their eyes get switched in book 5, and I just can't imagine him any other way. I was also rather disappointed with the graphic novel... There were so many inconsistencies with the books...

oh so u have read the graphic novel?!...how did it turn out...i've been waiting for a long time for sum1 to say something about it so that i may decide on buying it...

Umm... the backgrounds and scenery were nice, but I didn't really like the artist's interpretation of what the characters looked like, it's almost like Colfer had no say in the matter whatsoever. The characters were Ill proportioned and there were many inconsistencies with the books (like the gadgets, Artemis's eyes, etc.)
But I'm really very picky about things like this, so I'd suggest going to your local bookstore and flip through it yourself to see if you like it. I sat there for an hour or two and read through the entire thing. The story is spot on, I just didn't like the designs was all.

oh damn....i hate inconsistencies....but i guess i'll buy it just for the sake of it...but u think thats bad? the thought of the movie they are making gives me shudders...as if ruining harry potter was'nt enough, now they r turning to artemis fowl...

Yes, at first I was excited about the movie, but now I am dreading it.. I mean come on, Cameron Diaz to play Holly? not what I imagined at all.
I wish that movies were true on to the books, that'd be great.
